The Results of the Fifth Japan-China-Korea Tourism Ministers’ Meeting (in China)

For the further strengthening of trilateral tourism communications among Japan, China and Korea, and the expansion of trilateral human communications among Japan, China and Korea aiming at the promotion of economic prosperity and social development for these regions, the Fifth Japan-China-Korea Tourism Ministers’ Meeting was held from August 21 (Saturday) to August 24 (Tuesday) in China (Hangzhou City/Hughou City).
In this meeting, Seiji Maehara, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Minister in charge of Tourism-oriented National Foundation, and Mr. Qiwei Shao, the Chairman of the National Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China, and Mr. Yu In-Chon, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea met with each other to discuss the promotion of trilateral tourism communications and the strengthening of cooperation among Japan, China and Korea.
As the outcome of their discussions, we would like to inform you of the following:
(1) The Joint Declaration on August 22, (2) The Trilateral Joint Proposal by Japan, China and Korea on low carbon tourism were compiled on August 22 and August 23 respectively.
