Last Update : 2016/12/6

With the aim of helping to reduce the reputational risk affecting Tottori after the earthquake that hit the central part of that prefecture on October 21, 2016, we will implement the Program for Supporting Tottori.

〇Program Outline
Many people have canceled their reservations at hotels and inns in Tottori as a result of the earthquake that hit the center of the prefecture. For the purpose of reducing the reputational risk affecting Tottori Prefecture and enhancing the rapid recovery of tourism demand in that prefecture, the Japan Tourism Agency developed the Program for Supporting Tottori.
Under this program, the Tottori-de Mattorimasu (Waiting for You in Tottori) Campaign will help to support tours that are conducted in significantly damaged areas of Tottori and to help showcase the hidden charms of the prefecture.

Note: The Tottori-de Mattorimasu (Waiting for You in Tottori) Campaign
Regarding tours that are planned by travel agencies and that include an overnight stay at a hotel or inn in eastern, central or western Tottori and at least one visit to a tourist facility in other parts of the prefecture, tour participants will receive up to 10,000 yen per person for their tour cost, on the condition that the total tour cost is at least 20,000 yen. This program covers tours that will be conducted between January and March 2017 (provisional).
